INSIGHT:, MODELING ISSUE:, NEED: Possible Project: Predicting Quarantine/Treat/Test Capacity (and/or rate of capacity increase) needed per location & time & ... in order to stem epidemic , any interest/feedback?
Hello guys, I'm a technical volunteer but I may also submit a project / join a team depending on my time constraints and interests. I have a preliminary idea:
INSIGHT:
Idea: Build and model/predictor of the rate of increase/decrease or constant value of Isolation/Treatment/Testing/Quarantine Capacity (/# tents/clinics, etc.) needed per geographical area over time in order to stem the epidemic.
Question: Does this fit in well with Challenge or should I expand/change the idea?
MODELING ISSUE: (well not an issue yet, more like open for feedback)
Method: 1) use simple epidemic model of quarantine which I will bring from my Keeling & Rohani textbook and/or individual_based/object-oriented/microsimulation in order to model/predict the control/dynamics of the epidemic and/or 2) other computational/mathematical/spatial methods in order to predict and/or interpret # cases (location, time) and feed this into the control model in 1)
NEED:
Teammates: Any interest? I may have to be a part-time member of the team as I'm also a technical volunteer for all teams...
Question: Does this fit in well with Challenge or should I expand/change the idea?
