DATA: Improved case series data
There are some gaps in the subnational data series posted originially. For example, Guinea has no subnational data from June 20 to August 14.
There are stronger data at: https://data.hdx.rwlabs.org/dataset/evd-cases-by-district
These are not cleaned in quite the same way as the original data. All values are for ADM2 aggregations. But you can aggregate back to ADM1 using the LOCATION_CODE - it looks like the first 3 numbers are the ADM1 codes, the next 3 the ADM2 codes.

To clarify, there are 2 data sources in this dataset: one for "WHO Sitrep" and the other for "Patient Database". They are overlapping (great description here: http://www.caitlinrivers.com/blog/ebola-data-from-situation-reports-vs-patient-database) not to be added together.
