UPDATE: creating a time series based datafile that links regional differences in cases to economic fluctuations in food
We are nearly finished compiling a time series based (day resolution) data file which correlates, by region within country, averaged case reports from all data collecting institutions to averaged food cost (per major group of food e.g. rice, meat, bread). We hope this data will be valuable to any group with the modeling potential to construct a model to examine the statistical effects regional ebola cases has on the cost of food or vice versa.
We are novices in all aspects of this Hackathon but are happy to help compile something that may be considered a resource to others.

There is some pointers towards primate or bush meat gathered by West Africans and the infectious vectors of these meats, uncooked, and hunting. This may assist in understanding the mechanism for the disease travelling, in terms of towards urban areas, more population, then rural areas. I think the bush meat is favored by a large portion of the West African area, so there may or may not be an economic variable.

Are you working off of file '7'? It looks like the food prices for virtually all ADMs are fairly constant, across all the months they are reported for.
